Due to enrollment increases, Worthington City Schools determined it was best to remove grade 6 from their Elementary Schools and add it to their (4) Middle Schools, which house grades 7 and 8.
Following the passage of the November 2018 bond issue, Worthington City Schools proceeded with additions and renovations to their Middle Schools: Perry Middle School, McCord Middle School, Kilbourne Middle School and Worthingway Middle School.
The District entered the Expedited Local Partnership Program (ELPP) with the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission.
The two larger projects were designed to LEED Version 4 requirements, and will receive LEED Silver certification.
Construction was phased while the buildings remained in operation during construction.
