We're thrilled to announce the completion of a major upgrade at Pymatuning State Park! We successfully replaced nine aging structures with ten brand-new, premium cabins, setting a new standard for park accommodations.

From Outdated to Outstanding
Say goodbye to the seasonal limitations of the past. The original "hunter" cabins, some over 70 years old and structurally compromised, have been retired. In their place stands a collection of cabins designed for the modern guest and the future of the park.

• Four-Season Fun: Thanks to construction that meets or exceeds current code requirements for insulation and energy consumption, the new cabins are designed to be rentable all year round! No more limiting your visit to just three seasons.

• Seamless Transition: We built the new cabins near existing site footprints, minimizing environmental disruption and allowing for a smooth transition with ongoing utility infrastructure upgrades.

A Prototype for Premium Stays

We've developed a signature 1-bedroom cabin prototype that honors the site's rich history while delivering sophisticated comfort.

• Heritage Craftsmanship: The design features exposed heavy timber structure—a nod to the robust quality of the past wood construction methods —combined with a stunning, modern interpretation of craftsmanship detailing aesthetic.

• Open Concept Living: Step inside to a light-filled, open-concept floor plan featuring integrated living, dining, and a functional kitchenette, perfect for socializing and relaxation.

• Woodland Views: Enjoy bedroom and bathroom privacy tucked away in the back, while the main living space offers views of the surrounding woodlands.

In this FY23-24 project alone, we delivered eight standard cabins and two fully accessible cabins, ensuring that the unparalleled Pymatuning experience is available to everyone.
