Knox County Career Center Schools
Schorr Architects is currently providing professional design services for Knox County Career Center Schools Culinary Restaurant addition. The proposed addition is a modest 1,650 SF, but is strategically located adjacent to the existing kitchen which serves the student cafeteria and functions as the culinary lab space. The addition includes a new home for the River Room Cafe with access to serve students and visitors from a new entrance for separation of the student and general public for security.
The project is currently in design development and is on budget and on schedule. The anticipated construction completion is December 2026. The project is being designed in combination with parking lot expansion and site improvements for efficiencies in design and permitting.
In addition to the culinary addition, Schorr Architects has completed a roof replacement project in the summer of 2025, and is assisting with master facilities planning to support the programs strong enrollment and growth.
