About This Project
Conceptual drawing presented to Columbus & Franklin County Metro Parks for the restroom facilities. A pre-engineered restroom facility was chosen based on budget.
Schorr Architects, Inc. worked with Columbus & Franklin County Metro Parks to design and deliver restroom and pavilion structures. The restroom and shelter facilities were pre-engineered units delivered to the site. Schorr Architects, Inc. was responsible for the designs of all site utiltiies and foundation work.
Pickerington Parks Metro Parks is a premier spot for bird watching in Central Ohio. More than (200) species of birds have been documented over the park during the past (20) years. The combination of seasonal ponds and rich wetland vegetation, with bordering woodlands, serve as a magnet for migrating waterfowl, shore birds and land birds. Deer, beaver, fox and other wildlife can be seen near the ponds and adjoining woods.
The most recent development includes a 370-acre wetland restoration.
