Mount Vernon Developmental Center PH&E Roof Replacement

Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities

The PH&E Building was a candidate for roof replacement as a part of capital improvements due to age of the asphalt shingle roof. This project included the removal of existing shingles and underlayment down to wood coverboard and replacement with new asphalt shingle covering. The condition assessment performed by Schorr Architects determined existing continuous insulation and steel deck as satisfactory to remain.

The project included recover of a small portion of low slope roof with TPO membrane with rhinobond attachment to preserve existing insulations.

Gutters and downspouts were replaced as a part of the project.

The building remained in operation during construction.
