Delaware State Park Campground Safe Room

Delaware County Emergency Management Agency

The Delaware County Emergency Management Agency received grant funding to construct a community safe room for a tornado shelter at the Delaware State Park Campgrounds.

The design of the shelter is a concrete-domed structure, with an occupancy of (856) individuals to shelter in a wind emergency event.

The Park will also utilize the structure as a community room. The project was designed and constructed to meet the requirements of ICC-500-2008 and FEMA P-361.
