The existing coal tar roofing system and insulation were removed down to the light-weight fill and a temporary roof, insulation, and a 20-year warranty coal tar roofing system with gravel were installed. The building was unoccupied but was being renovated at the time of the installation. There were asbestos containing materials that were removed. The following additional items were included:

  • Metal fascia system was replaced.

  • Abandoned copper vents were removed and holes at conrete deck were covered with steel plates.

  • New scupper pans were provided and downsprouts were snaked 60 feet.

  • New non-penetrating fall protection guard railing system was provided at equipment near edge of roof.
