About This Project

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources decided to renovate deteriorated cabins at several Ohio state parks. These cabins were originally constructed between 1940 and 1990. While some cabins had since been renovated, many are original and needed to be upgraded. Schorr Architects has been involved in five project phases (and starting the 6th phase in June 2025):

Our team reassessed cabins, and renovated (34) cabins in (5) state parks. Improvements included finishes; windows, roofs and exterior doors; painting of exterior wood siding and soffits; furniture and appliances; plumbing fixtures and water heaters; furnaces and conditioning units; light fixtures; and site storm drainage.
