Belmont Correctional Institution Roof Recover

Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) / Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC)

Due to aging roof systems, ODRC decided there was a need to recover the existing standing seam metal roofing system for (14) buildings including the following:

  • 7- Housing Units

  • 1 Gymnasium

  • 1 Multi-Purpose Facility

  • 1 Medical Facility

  • 1 Transitional Program Unit (TPU) Facility

  • 1 Camp

  • 1 Kitchen/Inmate services Building

  • 1 Administration Facility

Design includes installation of new insulation, cover board, flashings, gutters, and downspouts.

Schorr Architects managed the transition and oversight of the Owner’s requested termination of the original general contractor, executing emergency repairs to the work, and bidding and contracting for a new contractor to complete the remaining work.
